Part-Time Lab & CAD Technician (Optics / 3D Printing)

Prellis Biologics is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented part-time technician to support our holographic 3D printing and lab workflows. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys moving between CAD design, precision lab work, and experimental hardware development.

What you’ll do

• Create 3D CAD designs for printed parts (SolidWorks)
• Convert 3D models into printer-ready instructions and setups
• Operate holographic 3D printing runs (start/stop, basic monitoring, documentation)
• Support printer development and iterative improvements as time allows

What we’re looking for

• CAD experience (SolidWorks strongly preferred)
• Experience working in an optical lab environment
• Experience in a chemistry or bio lab (sample prep, basic lab practices, cleanliness/organization)
• Availability up to 10 hours/week
• Comfortable coming onsite for a few hours on weekends as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols/SOPs

Schedule & location

• Part-time, up to 10 hrs/week
• Mix of weekday and occasional weekend onsite support
