RA-Sr. RA-Antibody Screening and Characterization
Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries andinvitrohumanlymphnodecoculturesfor generating antigen-specific B-cells.We are seeking a Research Associate – Senior Research Associate, Antibody Screening and Characterization to join our Antibody Screening team. This role will report to the Scientist heading antibody screening, with accountability for supporting small-scale protein purification and high-throughput antibody screening and characterization efforts, particularly using SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) and BLI (Bio-Layer Interferometry) technologies.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Execute high-throughput small-scale protein purification and analytical/QC workflows to generate high quality antibody samples.
- Support antibody discovery programs by running antibody screening assays using BLI (Octet) and SPR (Carterra) platforms to assess binding kinetics, affinity, and specificity.
- Analyze, interpret, and present kinetic data to inform antibody selection and optimization decisions.
- Independently troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols for improved throughput, accuracy, and reproducibility.
- Maintain meticulous experimental records and effectively communicate findings in internal meetings.
- Qualifications:
- B.S in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field with 4+ years of experience, or M.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with BLI (Octet) and/or SPR (Carterra, Biacore) platforms is required.
- Proficient in small-scale protein purification, protein quantification, and analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE and SEC.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience supporting antibody discovery workflows with an end goal of identifying novel therapeutic candidates.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to contribute to multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document and present experimental results.
- Experience with automation platforms (liquid handlers) is a strong plus.
