We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist with a strong background in cellular biology to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, the individual will be supporting our ex vivo antibody production efforts as well development for the generation of detection reagents for flow cytometry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell biology, biomolecular techniques, and experience in flow cytometry and production environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Routinely utilize standardized cell culture methods to elicit antigen-specific B cells.
- Independently perform single cell sorting for downstream analysis following detailed work instructions.
- Routinely synthesize flow cytometry detection reagents, including but not limited to biotinylated proteins, streptavidin tetramers, and fluorescently labeled proteins
- Utilize a broad suite of biomolecular and biochemical assays including flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE, Mass spectroscopy, and UV-Vis to characterize the reagents
- Troubleshoot biotinylation or tetramer generation as needed, optimize the workflow for degree of labeling as well as on-cell detection using flow cytometry
