Senior Scientist – Antibody Analytical Characterization (Mass Spectrometry)

The heart of Prellis Bio’s strategy is the combination of novel, cutting edge methods in machine learning, biology at scale and next gen antibody discovery that address long-standing industry-wide problems in the drug development pipeline. Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print human lymph node organoids enabling the rapid & diverse discovery of human antibody therapeutic candidates for a range of applications. To drive this forward, we are assembling an incredible team of discovery biologists, computational scientists, and protein scientists who want to make a difference to this important problem.

We are looking for an accomplished and detail-oriented Senior Scientist with strong expertise in mass spectrometry (MS) and aggregation analysis to join our Antibody Engineering team. This individual will lead the design and execution of analytical strategies focused on the biophysical characterization of therapeutic antibodies, emphasizing mass spectrometry and analytical size-exclusion chromatography (aSEC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mass spectrometry-based characterization of therapeutic proteins including monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, and antigens:
  • Perform intact mass and subunit analysis
  • Execute peptide mapping and sequence confirmation
  • Profile post-translational modifications (e.g., glycosylation, oxidation, deamidation)
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot aSEC methods to assess aggregation, purity, and product quality.
  • Characterize high molecular weight aggregates, fragments, and other product- or process-related impurities.
  • Collaborate closely with Antibody Discovery, Immunogen Design, and Target Biology teams to integrate analytical insights into therapeutic development.
  • Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and SOPs.
